What is the difference between LCD and Plasma screens? Are they the
same thing?
LCD (Liquid crystal displays) and Plasma screens use completely different
technology, and have some of the following differences:
- LCD displays are used for things such as microwaves, digital watches,
laptops etc.
- LCD displays are also thinner, have smaller screens than Plasma,
and have a better viewing angle.
- LCD TV's don’t suffer from “Burn In”.
What is a “Burn In”?
A “Burn in” is what occurs when an image displayed on
a plasma screen is in the same place for too long a time . This usually
involves images such as logos of certain channels which remain on
the screen.
